On Thursday, 17th November 2022, The HEX Group hosted their first Apprentice Awards Evening celebrating the achievements and dedication of talented individuals and highlighting the success of The HEX Group Apprenticeship Scheme.

The event was held at Aston Marina in Stone with apprentices, guests, staff and suppliers invited. The evening began with arrival drinks, a delicious three-course dinner and captivating table magic before the awards ceremony recognising key individuals. The awards were presented to those who had gone above and beyond in their work, excelled in their apprenticeship and brought unique and fresh ideas to The HEX Group.

Award categories over the three-year groups included Managers Choice, Most Improved, Apprentice of the Year and The HEX Group Outstanding Apprentice. The award categories were hosted by The HEX Group Management Team - Martin Smith, Group CEO; Simon Webb, Managing Director of Bri-Stor Systems; Paul Clews, Managing Director of Alpha Manufacturing and Karen Barnacle, Group HR Manager. Following the awards, celebrations continued throughout the evening with a Magic Mirror and disco. 

Martin Smith, the CEO, commented, “What an incredible evening we had to celebrate the achievements of our incredibly talented and committed apprentices at the fabulous Aston Marina. Our first awards evening highlighted the success of The HEX Group apprentice scheme and demonstrated why they are an integral part of the businesses across the Group.

The apprenticeship programme is vital to building our team at The HEX Group. We understand the true value of being able to provide budding engineers with the tools and resources to allow them to flourish. It was an absolute pleasure to show our appreciation to our apprentices, who are key players in The HEX Group family.”

A proven success, The Apprentice Awards Evening will now become an annual event for The HEX Group.
