For many, looking after a 35-acre site can be challenging, but the Maintenance team at The HEX Group thrive on a challenge and are passionate about their work.
Leading the team is Matt Trussler, Facilities Manager. Joining Bri-Stor Systems 10 years ago as Lean Manufacturing Manager looking at business improvements, Matt is now responsible for the Group facilities across four sites. Matt's role is hugely varied and rewarding, working on various projects, from facility layouts and designing new areas to grounds maintenance and waste removal.
From apprentice to group electrician, Dan Humphreys looks after everything to do with site electrics. Last year, Dan received our 'Outstanding Apprentice of the Year Award' after completing his second apprenticeship with The HEX Group almost two years ahead of schedule.
The machinery used at the Alpha Manufacturing site operates 24/7, therefore breakdowns can cause delays in job completion. A dedicated team ensures that our punch, laser and folding machines are maintained, repairs are completed when required and full TPM routines are conducted, enabling us to maintain a high level of productivity. Justin Kelly is our lead engineer and maintenance manager, responsible for the Alpha maintenance team and the technical work at our Chemical Technologies site in Stafford. Liam Thomas, Bernie Shaw, Farshid Ghalamkari and James Stanaway are the team that keep these machines running every day and the business operating.
The site facilities team – Arthur Wibberley, James Kendrick and Duncan Stephenson make sure everywhere looks good. Responsible for grass cutting, grounds maintenance, painting & decorating and refurbs, they're the people we call upon to keep the facility in tip-top condition.
The team's unsung heroes are Adam Ash and Dave Tinkler, who ensure the site is clean and tidy. Making sure that bins are empty and the floors are kept mess free is an important role. A clean and safe working environment is something we pride ourselves on, and the team do a fantastic job.
