Celebrating 30 Years of Dedication: Karen Barnacle’s Milestone at The HEX Group
We are immensely proud of our highly successful Apprenticeship Scheme at The HEX Group. Committed to continuing and growing this success, we are thrilled to introduce Grace Williams, who joined The HEX Group in December 2023 as our dedicated Apprenticeship Coordinator.
Grace's journey began after leaving sixth form in 2019. Her passion for history led her to pursue a degree at Liverpool University, where she refined her historical and ancient thinking skills. However, after graduating, her journey took an unexpected turn when she discovered her interest in learning and development, particularly in the context of apprenticeships.
Grace's first professional foray into the world of learning and development came through a position in construction training. This experience laid the groundwork for her transition to The HEX Group later in the same year. She comments...
"After a few months of working, it became clear I found it incredibly rewarding to support individuals academically, enabling them to fulfil specific skill sets. In this new role I look forward to offering my knowledge and university experience to enhance the academic learning side of the apprentices.”
As Apprenticeship Coordinator, Grace will be pivotal in supporting apprentices with academic learning and guidance. Her commitment to fostering a positive learning environment is already evident, and Grace will also assist with apprentice recruitment, ensuring a seamless onboarding process for our new talents.
Grace's notable strengths are her commitment to mental health and safeguarding. Trained in these essential areas, she will ensure the well-being of our apprentices, reflecting The HEX Group's commitment to creating a supportive and nurturing environment.
Looking ahead, Grace has ambitious plans. She aspires to ensure The HEX Group apprenticeship scheme continues to grow and becomes more vital than ever. Grace shares her vision…
“Over time, I will be able to monitor the progress of the apprentices and provide ongoing support and feedback to help them address challenges and improve their performance. I am sure it will be incredibly rewarding.”
Grace's genuine interest in learning and development aligns perfectly with The HEX Group's commitment to nurturing young talent and becoming the workforce of the future.
Grace is a true animal lover outside of work, boasting an impressive family collection of seven horses and three dogs. Grace enjoys spending time with her family and friends, regularly revisiting Liverpool, where she socialises with her university friends.
As Grace embarks on this new chapter with The HEX Group, we wish her all the best for success and fulfilment in her role. Good luck, Grace!
